Dr. Andrew Burton graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2007. He completed a rotating internship at Queensland Veterinary Specialists, and a specialty internship in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of California, Davis, as well as working as a staff veterinarian in the UC Davis emergency room. He completed a residency in Clinical Pathology at UC Davis while continuing to work with the ECC service, and became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2014. He has worked in diagnostic pathology since, and is a pathologist with IDEXX Laboratories, with special interests in cytopathology, hematology and education. He is the author of many research articles, and the textbook Clinical Atlas of Small Animal Cytology.
