David Alzate Velasquez MV

Doctor David Alzate is from Medellin, Colombia, he graduated from Universidad de Antioquia in 2007, followed by an internship in critical care at the intensive care unit in Veterinary Total Services (VET´S) in Santiago de Chile in 2009, since then he has been the director of the critical care department at his hospital Caninos y Felinos in Medellin, Colombia.

He is also an associate professor at the University CES in Medellin since 2012, where he teaches emergency and critical care. His clinical and research interests are haemodynamic monitoring and antibiotic stewardship in the ICU.

He is a member of the Latin American Veterinary Emergency and critical Care Society and currently serves in the emergency certification committee.
