Elizabeth Pearlman DVM

Dr. Elizabeth Pearlman is a forensic veterinarian at the ASPCA's Veterinary Forensic Science Center in Gainesville, FL. She holds a B.S. in Biology and a Master's degree in Veterinary Forensic Sciences, along with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Purdue University. Dr. Pearlman has a diverse background including emergency medicine, private practice, and shelter medicine. In 2018, she joined the ASPCA full-time as a forensic veterinarian, where she assists law enforcement agencies across the nation. Her expertise in the identification, documentation, and collection of forensic evidence from crime scenes, as well as from live and deceased animals is recognized at the local, state, and federal level. Outside of work, Dr. Pearlman is passionate about providing pet therapy, partnering with her 5-pound floof, The Lentil Bean. She also enjoys sport work with her Malinois. When not in the field, she indulges in one of her favorite pastimes—eating cake, a sweet treat that adds balance to her busy life.
