Joel Weltman DVM, DACVECC, PhD

Dr. Joel Weltman joined the critical care staff of the Animal Medical Center in October 2017. After completing veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin, he studied as a rotating intern at his current institution and as an emergency and critical care resident at Cornell University. Most recently he completed a PhD at the University of Wisconsin where he investigated the roles of neuroplasticity in stabilizing and strengthening the neural signals controlling breathing.
