Karen Tobias DVM, MS, DACVS

Dr. Karen Tobias is a professor and ACVS board-certified surgeon at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her DVM from University of Illinois and completed an internship at Purdue University and surgery residency and Master’s Degree at Ohio State University. Dr. Tobias has authored or co-authored over 170 scientific articles and book chapters. She is the author of the Manual of Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery (Wiley/Blackwell, 2010; 2017); co-editor of Veterinary Surgery: Small Animal (Elsevier/Saunders, 2012; 2017); and co-author of Atlas of Ear Diseases of the Dog and Cat (Wiley/Blackwell, 2013). In 2020, she was named Institute Professor of University of Tennessee’s Institute of Agriculture.
