Megan graduated from Brigham Young University in 2000 with a BS in Animal Science with an emphasis in Veterinary Technology. She worked during tech school as a veterinary assistant in general practice and made the jump to emergency and critical care in 2000. Megan earned her CVT in Oregon in 2000, and in 2004 became a VTS(ECC). Megan is the Specialty Technician Trainer at VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists in Clackamas, Oregon, where she works on the clinical floor with technicians and medical staff providing in-the-moment training and teaching the whys of ECC nursing. Megan has served as a Member-at-Large on the board of the Oregon Veterinary Technician and Assistant Association and is currently the Legal Committee Chair for the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America. She enjoys lecturing on emergency veterinary nursing topics and the opportunity to meet veterinary technicians and nurses around the world. Her special interests include exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, mastering the personality quirks of German Shorthaired Pointers, and helping technicians to learn to think critically.
